2006 GT 5-speed. It's downright delightful. Now to figure out how to spend my money on it...

Full breathing system upgrade and a tune. Worth quite a lot of ponies on these things. She's a sexy beast, congrats!

Nice purchase! Those wheels look great. That Metro is your winter beater?

Nice! Congrats!
Do you already feel the PMY working? ;) And if so, where can I get one myself?

Thanks man! After this semester that's what I'm going to be saving up for. CAI + Diablo tune costs like ~$700 from Steeda and gets you 15-30 RWHP.

That Metro is my all-season beater/work truck. The Jeep in the back is probably soon to be on craigslist whenever I get time to deal with people who buy things off craigslist.

Ah, the people of Craigslist, constantly asking if the car is still for sale. Trying to sell a set of wheels is even a daunting task.

From a fellow S197 owner and Mustang guy, "Congrats!"
It's a damn fine looking pony.

Hahah! I haven't really had enough time to drive it too much yet. Plus this 10 year winter has everyone locked inside

I normally do the "email me your phone number and I will call you" thing. It's worked the best so far, but still not too far removed from a crapshoot.

Yeah, I usually post one bad picture, for things like wheels. And if the person is serious, then I'll ask to call me, and schedule an appointment. Good luck with the Mustang! I also sense a Magnaflow in your future.

Thank you so much! And yeah they've always been one of my favorite ca
Quick little anecdote, my mom's first "nice" car was a 1986 Mustang, which she bought when she was 20. My first "nice" car is a 200 6 Mustang that I bought when I was... 20. Little things like that always amuse me.

Probably accurate. Stock exhaust sounds great for the time being though

Some coilovers and lower control arm drop brackets are a good way to start. That'll make it hook up and handle much better than stock. I work for Griggs Racing, so I can help get you a deal on some of it. We use Koni or some custom valved Varishocks.

When the tires are bald I... might. I'm not one for beating on my cars/wasting clutch and tire life.

Noted. I will keep that in mind. The plan is to keep it as-is until at least the Summer so I can get a good feel for it before changing anything. It's totally stock except for the wheels, as far as I can tell.

That's purdy! My wife can't stand Mustangs, but I've always loved them. That generation in particular gets me, and the yellow with black racing stripes looks badass. Congrats!

I'm sure you'll find a few areas that are lacking. You will have a greater appreciation for a well-sorted chassis after you know how a simply decent chassis feels.

Not yet. It's on the "eventually" list.

As an unbiased SN-197 owner I would say go with a tune and cai before something as intense and expensive as coil overs. Honestly if you never take it to the track a set of non adjustable Koni's would do you just fine. Although if you want to go all into a road course coil overs are great, but so far I've done great with some Koni yellows and Steeda springs.

O and honestly you'll probably want some high performance tires first.

Didn't realize you worked for Griggs. Anyway I can direct contact you. I have a question about some tire fitment I am trying to get advice on.

Zero immediate plans to take it to a track day, although I'm not ruling it out. Would need to downsize in tires though were I to lower it, as the ones I currently have have about 3/4 an inch of clearance at stock ride height

What size are you running now? And that's fine if you go low profile as long as you don't go ridiculously low.
Edit: Just noticed those are 20s, sell those and get some nice 18s then you won't have a problem.

Jeeps Rock...so...the question is forced induction...or naturally aspirated.
Twin Turbo or Supercharged....

Yeah 255/40/20 in the front 275/40/20 in the rear. Not gonna sell them for a while, as I kinda like them, but I probably will downsize to 18s or so when ever I need to buy new tires (because these tires are pretty fucking expensive)

Naturally aspirated. It's gonna be my DD for, hopefully, the next 3-5 years so I don't want to sacrifice drivability/reliability or MPG for the time being.
